When I was younger, my favorite shoes were my boots. I wore them nearly every day, no matter the occasion. They were sturdy, reliable, and felt like an extension of me—except in the summer, of course. That was the season for my favorite sandals. Those sandals traveled with me on holidays, walked me through warm evenings, and made me feel a little more grown-up. That is, until they betrayed me. Their heels were far too high, and what once felt stylish turned into pure discomfort.
Now, my priorities have completely changed. Comfort is king. My trainers are my go-to, my everyday companions. They take me on dog walks, hiking trails, and long city strolls. They’ve become my most trusted travel companions, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
It’s funny how our relationship with shoes evolves over time. Once, I cared about style, making a statement, and feeling a little taller. Now, I just want to walk for miles without a second thought. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What about you? Have your favorite shoes changed over the years?
