  • Are You a Morning Person Too? Because I Definitely Am!

    Dec 2nd, 2025

Good morning, afternoon, or evening — depending on when you’re reading this!
I’ve realised something about myself lately: I am definitely more of a morning person.

There’s just something about the early hours that gets me going. I’m more proactive, more motivated, and honestly, far more productive before most people have even finished their first coffee. My energy, ideas, and focus always seem to peak in the morning — it’s like my brain hits the ground running the moment I wake up.

By the time the evening rolls around, I can feel myself starting to wind down.
Come 10:00 pm, I’m basically done for the day. My body and brain both switch to “relax mode” whether I want them to or not! But of course, it all depends on how the day has gone… some days feel endless, and others fly by.

Are you a morning person like me, or do you come alive in the evenings? Either way, it’s always interesting how our natural rhythms shape our day.

  • 🍽️ My Thoughts on Eating Meat… and Why I Also Love Veggie Meals! 🍣🌱

    Dec 1st, 2025

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my eating habits, and honestly, I’ve realised something quite simple: I love both meat dishes and vegetarian meals. I’m not strictly one or the other — I just enjoy good food, full stop!

I do like eating meat. There’s something comforting about a hearty chicken dish or a Sunday roast. It’s familiar, it’s delicious, and it’s something I’ve always enjoyed.

But at the same time, I’ve grown to really love vegetarian meals too. There’s so much flavour in plant-based dishes now, and I find that they make me feel lighter and sometimes even more energised. It’s nice to have that balance — some days I crave something meaty, and other days a veggie bowl hits the spot perfectly.

A big part of this foodie journey has actually come from going to itsu. They’ve got such a lovely mix of options, and I absolutely adore their sushi. Believe it or not, I wasn’t always a sushi lover… but my husband is obsessed with it, and slowly he’s turned me into one too! Now I can’t go in without picking up a box. It’s become one of my favourite treats.

So yes, I love meat dishes — but I also love the freshness of vegetarian meals and the excitement of sushi. I don’t feel the need to choose sides. I just enjoy eating what I enjoy, and I think that’s what food should be about: variety, flavour, and happiness on a plate.

  • Why Jeans and Trainers Will Always Be My Go-To Style

    Nov 30th, 2025

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that comfort doesn’t have to mean compromising on style. My two favourite things to wear—without question—are my jeans and my trainers. Honestly, I’m always in my jeans. They’re my everyday uniform, my reliable staple, the piece of clothing I can slip into without thinking twice. Whether I’m running errands, heading to work, or just enjoying a quiet weekend, my jeans are right there with me.

And the trainers? Well, I never go without them. They’re practically an extension of my feet at this point. There was once a time when I loved a good pair of high heels, but those days are long behind me. I’m a casual lady now. Comfort has become my priority, and nothing beats the feeling of slipping on a pair of comfy trainers and heading out the door.

There’s something quite empowering about embracing a style that feels true to who you are. For me, that’s denim and trainers—simple, practical, and completely “me.” Whether you dress them up with a nice top or keep it low-key with a cosy jumper, jeans and trainers always strike the perfect balance.

So here’s to comfort, confidence, and a wardrobe that actually makes life easier. High heels can stay on the shelf—I’ll be sticking with what makes me feel good.

  • The Hardest Decision I Ever Had to Make: Walking Away From a New Job

    Nov 28th, 2025

We’re often taught that quitting is a sign of weakness—that sticking things out, no matter what, is the “right” thing to do. But sometimes the bravest, strongest decision you can make is the one that protects your peace. Recently, I had to make one of those decisions: leaving a job I had only just started.

I had come from a workplace where the environment was genuinely wonderful. For a whole year, I worked alongside supportive colleagues, a kind manager, and people who made me feel valued. Going into this new role, I was hopeful. Nervous, of course—starting somewhere new always comes with a few butterflies—but hopeful.

    That hope didn’t last long.

From the moment I arrived, something felt off. The manager and some colleagues spoke to me in ways that were belittling and unnecessary. It wasn’t constructive criticism or helpful guidance—it was tone, attitude, and disrespect. What made it worse was that it was only my first week, yet they expected me to know everything instantly, despite giving me almost no training or support.

Every day, I felt myself shrinking a little more.

I’d come home stressed, anxious, and questioning myself, even though deep down I knew the issue wasn’t me. It was the environment. It was toxic, and it was taking a toll on my mental health faster than I expected.

Leaving felt like failure at first. I had just started—shouldn’t I give it more time? Try harder? Push through?

But then I asked myself a different question: At what cost?

I’ve learned that no job is worth sacrificing my well-being. No paycheck, no title, no “it’ll get better eventually” is worth feeling disrespected and unsupported every single day. So I made the hardest decision I’ve had to make in a long time—I walked away.

And honestly? It was the right choice.

Choosing myself wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Sometimes the environment you step into simply isn’t healthy, no matter how much potential you hoped it would have. And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen to your mind, your heart, and your boundaries.

    Walking away wasn’t failure.
    It was self-respect.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I hope you remember this: protecting your mental health is not giving up. It’s choosing you—and that’s always the strongest decision you can make.

  • Morning All! How’s Everyone Doing? 🎄✨

    Nov 27th, 2025

Morning all! Hope you’re all doing well.
Can you believe we’ve reached that time of year already? Christmas is coming up fast — twinkly lights, cosy nights, and of course… Black Friday deals everywhere you look.

I was scrolling through some of the offers this morning and came across a lovely little radio that instantly made me think of my mum. She’s been wanting a small radio for ages, and this one looks perfect. It’s a gorgeous red, which just happens to be her favourite colour (and honestly, it looks so festive too!).

The reviews are brilliant, it has Bluetooth, and it’s got that cute retro look that’s perfect for a kitchen or bedroom. If anyone fancies getting a radio — for yourself or as a gift — this one looks like a good find.

I’ll pop the link below so you can have a little browse.
Happy Thursday and happy shopping! 🎁🎅✨

Christmas Traditions: Turkey, Panettone & My Sweet Tooth Joys ✨

As Christmas creeps closer, so does that familiar mix of excitement, comfort, and pure food indulgence. For most families, the festive season means one thing: the classic turkey dinner. And honestly, there’s something so nostalgic about it — the smell of it slowly roasting, the stuffing, the gravy, the whole cosy ritual. It’s one of those traditions you don’t mess with, because it just feels like Christmas.

But there’s one thing that truly completes the festive season for me…
    Panettone.
And not just any panettone — the good ones. The ones that come in those beautiful boxes that almost feel too pretty to open. Almost.

I have a ridiculous sweet tooth, so naturally, my favourite is the chocolate panettone. Soft, fluffy, rich — it’s like Christmas in cake form. But I also love the plain one with that light dusting of icing sugar on top. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and honestly… yum. It’s the kind of treat that makes you want to curl up under a blanket, put on a Christmas film, and enjoy every single bite.

There’s something magical about these simple traditions — turkey dinners, sweet treats, the smells, the rituals. They bring comfort, connection, and a feeling that everything slows down just a little.

Christmas isn’t just about presents. It’s about the little things:
the food you look forward to,
    the cosy moments,
and those treats that make your sweet tooth very, very happy.

  • If I Didn’t Need Sleep, What Would I Do With All That Extra Time?

    Nov 26th, 2025

It’s such an interesting question, isn’t it? Imagine suddenly discovering that you could function perfectly without a single hour of sleep. No groggy mornings, no snooze button, no dark circles—just endless hours to fill however you want.

So, what would I do with all that extra time?

    Well… I’d travel the world.
Not in a rushed, “tick off all the cities in a week” kind of way, but slowly—wandering from place to place, soaking up different cultures, sitting by the sea, and exploring places I’ve always dreamed of. Italy, Cornwall, quiet coastal towns… I can picture it all so clearly.

But here’s the thing—as dreamy as the idea is, I actually can’t imagine a life without sleep. Not for me.

Sleep isn’t just a luxury in my world; it’s a necessity. Living with epilepsy means rest isn’t optional—it’s part of how I stay well. Those extra hours of sleep give my brain the time it needs to reset, restore, and stay balanced. Without proper sleep, my symptoms creep in, my body struggles, and everything feels that bit harder.

So while the idea of gaining extra hours to explore the world is lovely, I know my health has to come first. And honestly? There’s something comforting about that. Rest isn’t wasted time—it’s healing time.

Maybe one day I will see the world—not by skipping sleep, but by taking life at my own pace, listening to my body, and knowing that every restful night brings me a step closer to the things I want to do.
