A New Chapter: Building a Future by the Sea

There’s something incredibly freeing about the thought of starting fresh—pressing reset and stepping into a future that feels more in tune with who you truly are. For me, the thing I’m most excited about is building a future with my family, away from the chaos of the city, and closer to the calming rhythm of the sea.

City life has its perks, but it can also be noisy, fast-paced, and draining. After years of being surrounded by traffic, tall buildings, and the constant hum of busyness, I’ve realized how much I crave peace. Not just silence—but real, soul-soothing peace. The kind you find in quiet mornings by the shore, the scent of salty air on your skin, and the sound of waves gently crashing as your day begins.

Moving out of the city feels like the first step toward a more intentional life. A slower pace, more space to breathe, and time to truly connect—not just with each other, but with ourselves. It’s about watching the kids grow up with sand between their toes and wind in their hair. It’s about Sunday walks along the coast, fresh seafood dinners, and learning how to just be.

Starting fresh isn’t about running away. It’s about moving toward something better. For me, that means creating a home filled with love, laughter, and salty sea breezes. A place where family memories are made, where we can grow together, and where life feels like it’s unfolding just as it should.

The future may still be unwritten, but I know one thing for sure: I’m ready for it. And I can’t wait to build it—right by the sea, with the people I love most.

There’s something magical about writing.

It’s more than just putting words on a page—it’s about creating worlds, building lives, and giving breath to thoughts and emotions that might otherwise go unspoken. When I write, it feels like I’m unlocking something that lives deep inside me. It’s a part of me that needs expression, that thrives on creativity and connection. Writing gives me purpose. It grounds me, excites me, and sometimes even heals me.

Right now, I’m working on a story. It’s still growing, still finding its voice, but every time I sit down to write, I feel completely immersed in it. These characters I’m shaping—they begin to feel real. Their struggles, their triumphs, their quiet moments—I carry them with me even when I’m not writing. It’s like holding a secret world inside me that’s slowly being revealed.

But my love for writing began with reading.

Books have always been a kind of escape for me. The moment I open a book, the world around me fades. I can close my eyes and feel like I’m there—walking beside the characters, hearing their thoughts, smelling the air in their world. I’ve travelled to places I’ve never seen, felt emotions I’ve never lived, all because of words carefully placed by someone brave enough to tell a story.

Reading and writing are my twin passions. One feeds the other. Every story I read teaches me something—about pacing, about dialogue, about human nature. And every word I write brings me closer to understanding myself and others.

I write because I love it. I write because it lights a spark in me.
And I read because it reminds me how powerful words can truly be.

Each one brings me a different kind of joy, but they all have the same effect: they pull me in completely, freeing my mind from everything else.

I love taking photos, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Sometimes, I look at my work and think, That’s not so great. Other times, I see an image and feel a sense of pride, knowing I’ve captured something special. I upload my photos to Shutterstock, hoping they’ll find a home with someone who appreciates them as much as I do. Photography is more than just snapping pictures—it’s about seeing the world differently, noticing the details, the light, the mood. It’s a way of telling a story without words.

The Power of Writing

Writing is another way I lose myself. There’s something incredible about putting thoughts into words, shaping them into something meaningful. Whether I’m journaling, writing a story, or just scribbling down ideas, it feels like an escape. Writing lets me express emotions I might not say out loud, turning feelings into something tangible.

Losing Interest: My Journey with Hobbies

Hobbies and passions shape our lives, offering us joy, creativity, and even a sense of purpose. However, sometimes, what once excited us begins to fade. Over time, I have lost interest in a few activities, including photography and badminton, but I have also rediscovered my love for writing.

I started photography in January, filled with enthusiasm to capture beautiful moments. Capturing moments, playing with light and angles, and finding beauty in the simplest things gave me a deep sense of satisfaction. Every trip or gathering was an opportunity to document life through my lens. I spent hours learning about composition, experimenting with different settings, and editing photos to perfection. However, as life took over, I gradually put it behind me. The camera that once felt like an extension of myself started gathering dust, and I found myself engaging in photography less and less.

Similarly, I used to love playing badminton. It was a sport that kept me active, challenged me, and brought a lot of enjoyment. I spent hours on the court, improving my skills and relishing the fast-paced nature of the game. But over time, other commitments took precedence, and I slowly stepped away from it.

Despite losing interest in these hobbies, I have started writing again. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and returning to it feels like reconnecting with an old friend. It allows me to express myself, reflect on my experiences, and create something meaningful. It’s a reminder that while some interests fade, others can resurface and bring joy in new ways.

The Chaos of City Life: Traffic and Thank You’s

Living in the city has its perks—there’s always something happening, places to explore, and convenience at every corner. But let’s be real, city life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. If there’s one thing I’ll gladly complain about, it’s the traffic. Oh, the traffic.

You know the drill: you’re driving along, maybe even humming to your favorite song, and out of nowhere—BAM! Cars everywhere. Where did they come from? It’s like they materialize from thin air just to block your path. One moment, the road is clear, and the next, it’s like you’re stuck in the middle of some elaborate prank. What’s worse? The honking. Everyone’s in a rush, but let’s be honest—no one’s going anywhere fast.

And don’t even get me started on rude drivers. A simple wave or nod when someone lets you merge? Apparently, that’s too much effort for some people. Is it really that hard to say “thank you”? A little kindness goes a long way, but in the city, people seem to forget that.

Speaking of manners—or the lack of them—another thing that gets to me is how some people don’t even bother with basic politeness. Hold the door for someone? No acknowledgment. Let someone pass on the sidewalk? Not a single word of thanks. It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Saying “thank you” takes all of two seconds, yet for some, it seems like an impossible task.

Living in the city is a balancing act. There’s the buzz of activity, the convenience of having everything nearby, but also the occasional frustration of rude behavior and unexpected traffic jams. Despite all this, I still find myself loving the energy of city life. But hey, a little more gratitude and a little less road rage wouldn’t hurt, right?
