Morning Musings: Migraines, Sunshine & a Little Wake-Up Call

Happy sunny Tuesday! ☀️ I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying this beautiful weather. I know I’ve been a little quiet the past couple of days—truth is, I haven’t been feeling the best. I got hit with a migraine, and let me tell you… it was not fun.

I don’t usually suffer from migraines, so it really threw me. It completely wiped me out. I’ve been trying to pinpoint the cause, and honestly, I think it might’ve been a mix of a few things. I’ve been eating a lot of sweet things lately (my biggest weakness!), and I spent quite a bit of time out in the sun on Sunday—maybe a little too much. It’s hard to say exactly what triggered it, but either way, it was a wake-up call.

One thing I have to mention, though, is the lifesaver that helped me feel human again: Kool ‘n’ Soothe for migraines. If you’ve never tried them, I highly recommend keeping a pack tucked away just in case. The relief was honestly amazing. I stuck one on, closed my eyes, and finally felt some peace.

So with that said, I’ve decided it’s time to get back on track and go back to healthier habits. More water, less sugar (wish me luck), and just being a bit kinder to my body. Sometimes it takes feeling rough to remind us to check in with ourselves, doesn’t it?
