Anxiety and the Commute: The Frustrating Restroom Struggle

Morning all—well, actually, nearly afternoon! 😊

This is a bit personal, but I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this. Every day, I take the bus to work (lucky me), and it takes about an hour to get there. Normally, it’s just part of my routine, but this week has been a real struggle.

I’ve had to get off the bus early a few times just to find a restroom—usually dashing into a coffee shop in a panic. It’s so frustrating and annoying because it throws off my journey and makes me even more anxious. I know I suffer from anxiety most days—I worry about the smallest things—and I’ve read that anxiety can make you feel like you constantly need to go.

I try listening to music to calm myself, but it doesn’t always help. Does anyone else deal with this? That sudden, urgent need that comes out of nowhere? I’d love to hear any tips because this is starting to really get to me!

Let me know if you’ve been through something similar. Hopefully, I’m not the only one! 🤦‍♀️
