What a chore that was! I’ve just taken our cockapoo for a walk, and honestly, I feel like I need a nap now. Or maybe a medal for bravery.
It’s never easy taking her out. Despite all the training, she still pulls like she’s trying to win a sled race. The moment we step outside, she’s off—nose to the ground, ears flopping, legs moving faster than mine can keep up. It’s as if she has one mission: to explore every inch of the world as quickly as possible.
We’ve tried everything—loose leash training, stopping when she pulls, treats, distractions. But she’s determined. Some days, I feel like I’m the one being taken for a walk.
And yet, despite the frustration, I can’t stay mad at her. She’s adorable, full of energy, and has that cheeky cockapoo charm that melts my heart (even when I’m untangling myself from the leash for the tenth time).
Does anyone else have a cockapoo that turns a simple walk into an extreme sport? If so, let’s share the struggle—because I know I can’t be the only one!
